Two coats of the two-component, flexible, cementitious, waterproof coating Maxseal Flex was applied to the prepared concrete. A layer of SURFASMESH, glass fibre, reinforcing mesh was back rolled into the first coat of Maxseal Flex.
To provide continuity of the waterproofing and protection, the Maxseal Flex coatings was applied to the full deck area and the parapet walls were built on top of the cured coating.
The addition of the SURFASMESH renders the Maxseal Flex coating root resistant, this is a huge advantage for “green roof” applications.
