Private Dwelling Basement Waterproofing – Sligo

Steven Taylor Planthire were the main contractors for this privately owned luxury dwelling in beautiful Strandhill, Co. Sligo.

SURFASOLOGY were consulted regarding the design for the waterproofing and protection of the reinforced concrete basement.

The requirement was to design a system that provide total protection to the basement and would allow construction works to proceed without hindrance.

The SURFASOLOGY designed system allowed DualProof T Membrane to be installed on the properly prepared sub-base by approved installers Hollywell Construction. This allowed the Main Contractor to install the reinforcement, pour the base-slab and construct the retaining walls unhindered.

SURFASOLOGY returned to site to complete the system; these works included the following:

• Coating the top of the “toe area” with a flexible waterproof coating;
• Detailing of “tie holes”;
• Installing DualProof S Membrane on the retaining walls and connecting it to the previously installed DualProof T Membrane.
