Description

The new 3.5 million water supply and treatment plant was officially opened on February 19th, 2015. Built on the highest point in the Carrickmacross area at Nafferty, on the site of the previous reservoir, the facility will supply water to domestic and business customers in Carrickmacross town and the surrounding area.  The new plant has the capacity to treat 160,000 litres of water per hour ensuring an adequate supply of treated water to meet current and future customer demands.

Waterproofing of a water reservoir (area sealed: 1,100.50 m2) using Maxseal Flex reinforced with Drizoro Mesh 58. The Maxseal Flex system was placed over the roof to prevent external water from penetrating and mixing with the potable water supply inside the reservoir. The waterproofing system was accompanied by the manufacturer’s 20 year warranty.
