McKee Barracks, Dublin

Description

McKee Barracks, originally called Marlborough Barracks, was built by the British Army in 1888. After Ireland became the Irish Free State in 1922 the barracks were occupied by the Irish Free State forces.Major refurbishment works to the roof structure of the building were undertaken in 2013-14.

SURFASOLOGY were consulted regarding a solution for the treatment of dry rot, wet rot, and woodworm and the ProBor range of products, supplied by SURFASOLOGY, were selected for use. ProBor DB was selected to treat the small sectional timber and the large section timbers were treated with ProBor 20.
